Congress leader, Rahul Gandhi, has launched a scathing attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and its ideological mentor, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), saying that they have created an atmosphere of hatred, violence and fear in India.
Addressing a rally in India’s Pathankot city on the last day of the march Bharat Jodo Yatra’s Punjab-leg, Rahul Gandhi said that the BJP was dividing people on the basis of religion, caste and languages instead of addressing actual issues like poverty, unemployment and inflation. “They create fear. All of their plans (policies) cause fear to someone or something,” he added.
He targeted the Modi government over the now-repealed three agricultural laws and said these created fear in the minds of farmers. He also targeted the Modi regime over the Agnipath defence recruitment scheme, saying it has shattered the dreams of those aspiring to join the Indian armed forces.
