Mushaal Hussein Mullick, the Chairperson of Peace and Culture Organisation and wife of jailed Kashmiri Hurriyat leader Muhammad Yasin Malik, has condemned the illegal detention of thousands of innocent Kashmiris, including senior Hurriyat leader Muhammad Yasin Malik and human right defender Khurran Parvez, by Modi-led fascist Indian government.

Mushaal in a statement in Islamabad stated the Hindutva regime had converted the Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) into a slaughterhouse and the world’s largest open prison.

She said that Kashmiri human rights defender Khurram Parvez had been under illegal detention of the Indian authorities for his crime of exposing the worst human rights abuses being committed by the brutal Indian forces in the valley.

She said that Yasin Malik, who was facing serious issues, but even then he was neither provided medical nor legal facilities. She said that the Terrorist and Disruptive Activities Act (TADA) court in Jammu on Wednesday issued a production warrant for Yasin Malik in the concocted case of killing of Indian Air Force officers and the next date of hearing would be on December 22, 2022.

Talking about the alarming upsurge in human rights violations in the valley, Mushaal said that extrajudicial killings and fake encounters continued to surface from time to time in IIOJK.

She said that the valley had become the highest militarized zone in the world, which had been under brutal military siege since India illegally landed its troops in Srinagar on 27th October 1947.

Mushaal urged the world to shun its duplicity and look into the worst human right violations in the occupied territory by Indian troops and accelerate its efforts to ensure speedy and just resolution of the Kashmir dispute as per the UN resolutions.
