PM Imran raises Kashmir dispute in meeting with Putin

Prime Minister Imran Khan has raised the Kashmir dispute with the Russian President, Vladimir Putin, during his visit to Russia.

In his first-ever summit meeting with President Vladimir Putin, which lasted for more than three hours, on Thursday, Imran Khan underscored the peaceful resolution to the Kashmir dispute even as he committed to a “long-term and multidimensional” relationship with Russia.

Prime Minister Imran Khan was on a two-day visit (23-24 February) to Russia, accompanied by his cabinet members and senior officials. This was the first official visit by a Pakistan prime minister to Moscow in 23 years.

On the situation in South Asia, the Prime Minister highlighted the serious human rights situations by Indian troops in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) and stressed the amicable settlement of the Kashmir dispute.
