India denounced for killing Kashmiris to stifle freedom voice

Srinagar, June 30 (KMS): In Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Hurriyat leaders and organizations have paid glowing tributes to the Kashmiri martyrs who are falling to Indian state terrorism for demanding Kashmiris’ right to self-determination.

Chairman of Jammu and Muslim Conference, Shabbir Ahmad Dar, in a statement issued in Srinagar while remembering Shaheed Khalid Sharif on his martyrdom anniversary and other martyrs said that the mission of the martyrs would be taken to its logical end at all costs. CRPF personnel grabbed Khalid during a student protest, brutally tortured him and later threw him into the Jhelum River from a bridge on June 30, 2009. While paying tributes to the two youth recently martyred by the troops in custody at Parimpora area of Srinagar, he said that Kashmiris would never forget the sacrifice of their martyrs.

Tehreek-e-Mazahmat Chairman Bilal Ahmad Siddiqui terming the so-called Parimpora encounter as yet another addition to long and painful list of crimes against humanity by Indian forces in IIOJK said this is cold blooded murder of youth in full public glare. He added that Indian troops were on a killing spree to suppress the voices for freedom. “Showing arrest in broad day light, beating and torturing the detainees in full public glare and then stage managing encounters to camouflage custodial deaths is nothing new for occupational troops,” he said. He particularly mentioned the custodial killing of Nadeem Abrar and said that he fell victim to the colonial mindset.

A delegation of Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Political Movement led by its Chairman Khawaja Firdous during a visit to the residence of a slain student at Bomai, Sopore, said that Kashmiris were not safe inside India. The student was killed at his college campus in Indian city of Chandigarh a few days ago. The delegation members also visited the residence of the youth martyred by Indian troops in a fake encounter in Srinagar, the other day. They said that the sacrifices of the Kashmiri martyrs would not be allowed to go waste.

Jammu and Kashmir Political Resistance Movement General Secretary Dr Musaib along with party workers visited the residence of Abrar Nadeem in Narbal, Budagm and paid glorious tributes to him. All business remained closed while traffic off the roads to mourn the killing of Abrar by Indian troops in custody.

Tehreek-e-Fikr-o-Aiteqad chief, Maualan Sarjan Barkati during a visit to Sorsuno in Kulgam said that India is nowadays killing the Kashmiri youth hoping that it would bring peace in the territory. He added that India itself is taking anti-peace measures in Kashmir and asked whether extrajudicial killing and peace could go hand in hand. He said that Kashmir is being converted into a war theater against Pakistan and Kashmiris. He was there to condole the death of the father of a party leader, Maulana Yawar.

Jammu and Kashmir People’s League General Secretary, Nasir-ul-Islam, addressing a meeting in South Kashmir said the Kashmir issue poses a serious threat to peace of entire of South Asia. He said that the dream of lasting peace and security in the region could only be realized without a dignified solution of the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the aspirations of Kashmiri people.

The International Forum for Justice Human Rights rubbished the police claim about the alleged gunfight in Maloora area of Srinagar outskirts. In a statement, the forum chairman, Muhammad Ahsan Untoo said that the so-called gunfight was staged and that a youth who was arrested was killed in custody.
