In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference leaders and its constituent organizations have said that the Kashmiris reject Narendra Modi-led fascist Indian government’s illegal move of August 05, 2019 and will take their ongoing freedom struggle to its logical conclusion at all costs.

APHC leader, Ghulam Mohammad Khan Sopori, in a party meeting termed the abrogation of special status of IIOJK by the Modi regime on 05 August 2019, as a ‘breach of promise’ and ‘treachery’ by India as well as apathy of the United Nations.

He expressed dismay at the fact that India got the courage to violate the international law and revoke the special status of IIOJK despite the UN resolutions on the Kashmir dispute because except Pakistan and a handful of countries, the rest of the world maintained a criminal silence on the Indian atrocities on the oppressed Kashmiris.

Khan Sopori said that through revocation of special status of Kashmir, the ruling regime of India attempted to tarnish the Kashmiriyat, humanity and democracy in the occupied territory to further its nefarious political designs. He appealed to the peace-loving Indian people to play an effective role in the resolution of the Kashmir dispute and stopping the violations of human rights by Indian troops in the occupied territory.

APHC leaders and organizations including Syed Bashir Andrabi, Yasmeen Raja, Zamruda Habib, Javaid Ahmed Mir, Abdul Samad Inqilabi, Muhammad Yousuf Naqash, Imtiyaz Reshi and Ghulam Nabi War in their statements said the Kashmiris do not accept Narendra Modi-led fascist Indian government’s illegal and unconstitutional actions of 05 August, 2019 and will continue their struggle till resolution of the Kashmir dispute.

They condemned the continued illegal detention of Hurriyat leadership by the Indian authorities and house raids, killings, arbitrary arrests and other human rights violations by Indian forces’ personnel in the occupied territory to intimidate the Kashmiris into submission. They urged the international community to take tangible steps to force India for the early resolution of the Kashmir dispute.

Meanwhile, senior leader of APHC-AJK chapter, Muhammad Farooq Rehmani, in a statement issued in Islamabad hailed Pakistan’s decision to mark 5 August as Youm-e-Istehsaal-e-Kashmir to draw attention of the world community towards India’s settler colonial plan being brazenly implemented by the fascist Modi government since 05 August, 2019. He said that after the division of IIOJK and its unconstitutional merger in India by the communal Modi regime, the entire South Asian region has been pushed towards instability and harrowing human rights violations are taking place in the occupied territory.

Farooq Rehmani said today the Kashmiris living in both parts of Jammu and Kashmir and the world over are making pledge to continue the freedom struggle according to the UN resolutions and Charter for the right to self-determination and freedom from India in a political and peaceful manner with the hope that the world body would redeem the pledge with the millions of oppressed people of Jammu and Kashmir.

Pasban-e-Hurriyat Chairman Uzair Ahmad Ghazali in a statement issued in Muzaffarabad said that Kashmiri people have rejected all the cruel laws imposed by the Indian government on August 5, 2019. He said that the United Nations and the Security Council should declare the Indian actions in the disputed territory null and void and give the Kashmiri people the right to self-determination for peaceful solution of Kashmir issue.
