Israel and the United States have failed to subdue Hamas, Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, said yesterday, emphasising that the strength of the resistance is becoming increasingly apparent day after day, according to Quds Press.

Khamenei stated in a post on X that “A mighty military, political, and economic power like the US is supporting the usurping Zionist regime, and they are fighting a resistance group and yet they have been unable to bring it to its knees.”

He added a video showing scenes of resistance operations in the Gaza Strip and support fronts in Lebanon, Iraq and Yemen.

The post came as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is in Washington to address Congress and meet with President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris.

Since 7 October, Israel, with US support, has been waging a war on Gaza, resulting in over 129,000 Palestinian casualties, mostly children and women, with more than 10,000 missing amid widespread destruction and a devastating famine.
