Sirajul Haq urges top Pakistani political, military leadership to pursue China to stop G20 meet in Srinagar

Amir, Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan, Sirajul Haque has called upon President, Prime Minister, Army Chief and Foreign Minister to approach the leaders of China and Islamic countries to use their clout for cancellation of the G20 meeting in Srinagar, Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir on May 22-24.

Addressing a press conference along with AJK politicians and Hurriyat leaders at the JIP office in Islamabad, Sirajul Haq said that Jamaat-e-Islami has also initiated contacts with the ambassadors of the relevant countries in this regard. He warned that the dangers of a nuclear war are looming large in the South Asian region because of the unresolved Kashmir dispute.


Those who were present on the occasion include APHC-AJK Convener Mahmood Ahmed Saghar, Jamaat-e-Islami AJK Amir Dr. Khalid Mehmood, former Amir Abdul Rasheed Tarabi, Hurriyat leaders Ghulam Muhammad Safi, Muhammad Farooq Rahmani, Syed Faiz Naqshbandi, Sheikh Muhammad Yaqub, Rafiq Dar, Sheikh Abdul Matin, Imtiaz Wani, Shaukat Hussain Butt and Khawaja Nazir Ahmed.

He asked Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari to hold a meeting in Muzaffarabad instead of Bagh. “ request the President, Prime Minister, Army Chief and Foreign Minister to speed up contacts with friendly countries to stop the G20 meeting in Srinagar.

In response to a question, Sirajul Haq said that there is no difference of opinion between the current and previous governments on Kashmir’s freedom.
