All Parties Hurriyat Conference leader, Molvi Mir Ghulam Hassan, has expressed serious concern over the deteriorating situation in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Molvi Mir Ghulam Hassan addressing a gathering in Sopore, today, said that India had deprived the Kashmiris of all their basic rights, including the right to freedom of expression. He said those who raise their voice against the Indian atrocities are put in jails under black laws.

He maintained that the Kashmiris were only demanding their birthright to self-determination, but instead of giving them this right, India was continuously following the policy of oppression and suppression.

The APHC leader expressed concern over the plight of all illegally detained Kashmiris including Hurriyat leaders and activists languishing in different jails and demanded their immediate release.

Mir Ghulam Hassan pointed out that the Kashmir dispute is the main cause of tension between Pakistan and India and without resolving it, the improvement of relations between the two countries is impossible. He urged India to give up its stubborn approach and create an environment conducive for the resolution of the lingering dispute through a meaningful and result-oriented dialogue.
