Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir National Conference President Farooq Abdullah is trending on social media X after his statement in which he had advised the Indian government to resolve the Kashmir dispute through talks with Pakistan to save the territory from being turning into another Gaza.

Farooq Abdullah’s various clips in which he is seen emphasizing the importance of dialogue with Pakistan are being shared on social media, reported British news agency, BBC.

In a clip, Farooq Abdullah also criticized the abrogation of Article 370 regarding the special constitutional status of Kashmir and said that militancy has not ended in Kashmir.

In the clips, the NC leader is seen saying the issue of militancy is not going to end like this. Pointing to Delhi’s top leadership, he said, to those who are saying that militancy is over; “I say again and again that it is not over.” He urged the Modi government to hold dialogue with Pakistan to find a way out.

Reacting to Farooq Abdullah’s statement, BJP leader Hina Shafi Butt said, ‘Kashmir being Gaza and Palestine is a reflection of Farooq Abdullah’s negative thinking.’

An Indian defense expert Sushant Sareen ridiculed Farooq Abdullah’s statement and said that there should be a retirement age in politics as well. “Farooq Abdullah is playing a dangerous game by supporting Pakistan so that he can play both sides and benefit,” he added.

Similarly, many other Indian social media users ask Farooq Abdullah that if he is so afraid of Kashmir becoming Gaza, he should move to Pakistan.
