Srinagar: The President of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mehbooba Mufti, has said that Narendra Modi-led Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has literally turned the whole Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir into a jail.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Mehbooba Mufti in an interview in Srinagar refuted the claims being made by the Modi regime about the normalcy in the occupied territory. She said if there is normalcy why Indian jails are packed with Kashmiri youth. Today nobody dares to talk due to harsh laws implemented in occupied Jammu and Kashmir that left 70 percent of the population under depression.
“Religious preachers and clerics are being summoned to police stations and being told to avoid speaking on Palestine issue. You can ask school administration how many days in a year they are teaching students and how many days students are being directed to take part in government functions. BJP is cooking stories and nothing else,” she said.
