Review petition submitted in Indian Supreme Court against its controversial decision on Article 370

A review petition has been filed in the Indian Supreme Court against its verdict upholding the abrogation of Article 370, which granted a special status to occupied Jammu and Kashmir despite New Delhi’s illegal occupation of the territory.

Muzaffar Iqbal Khan, one of the petitioners in the Article 370 case, submitted the review petition in the India’s top court.

Speaking to the media, Khan confirmed that he filed the petition on Wednesday.

On December 11, a 5-judge Constitution Bench led by Chief Justice DY Chandrachud upheld the controversial abrogation of Article 370 by the President of India in August 2019.
