New Delhi: Senior Congress leader in India Rahul Gandhi, severely criticising the Modi government, said that it is hiding the reality of India from the delegates of the G20 Summit.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Rahul Gandhi, who is currently on a tour to Europe, on his official X handle said, “The Government of India is hiding our poor people and animals. There is no need to hide India’s reality from our guests.”

The Congress shared a video on X showing some slum areas in Delhi’s Vasant Kunj are being covered with green sheets ahead of the two-day summit. “The government considers us insects. Are we not humans,” said a slum resident, whose video the Congress shared.

On Friday, it was reported that the Delhi Police had sought the help of civic agencies to curb the menace of monkeys and dogs in and around central Delhi’s Rajghat. The G20 delegates are scheduled to visit the Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi memorial on Sunday.

The Congress said that the canines were picked up in a cruel manner ahead of the G20 Summit.
