Terming her the voice of the voiceless and subjugated Muslims in India, a newspaper in Nigeria has selected Indian journalist Rana Ayub as Global Media Person of the Year 2021.
Muslim News, a publication of Rawshield PR Media termed Rana Aub as a dogged, fearless and committed media person. Rana Ayub remained at the forefront to advocate Muslims’ rights, particularly the rights of girl child, who have been at the receiving end during a senseless campaign by Hindutva brigade against hijab across India, Alhaji Rasheed Abubakar, publisher of the Muslim News maintained.
The Emir of Qatar, Thamim Bin Hammad Al-Thani, was named Global Muslim Personality of the Year while Bank ABC Islamic CEO Hammad wins Global Muslim Banking and Finance Person of the Year 2021 and Pakistani-American lawyer, Rabia Chaudry emerged as Global Muslim Legal Person of the Year 2021.
