UP: Hindu extremists abduct and torture Muslim man in Hapur

On October 17, 2023, in Mauja Nidhooli, Tehsil Dhaolana, Hapur district, Uttar Pradesh, Muhammad Nadim bin Babu fell victim to the heinous acts of some Hindu extremist goons from the neighbouring village of Hay.

The perpetrators, identified as Bini Sharma, Deepanshu Sharma, Prince Sharma, and several others, abducted Nadim from Nidhooli during the night and took him to their village, Milkalpur, Solana.

Throughout the night, Nadim endured relentless beating with sharp weapons at the hands of these assailants. When even the brutality of the assault seemed insufficient to them, they hung Nadim upside down in a water tubewell, soaking his face in water before further assaulting him. This ruthless act led to water filling Nadim’s stomach.

Upon realizing that Nadim had succumbed to the inhumane torture, the culprits callously disposed of his lifeless body in the jungles of Nidhooli during the night of October 17. As of now, Nadim lies on a ventilator at Rama Hospital in Pulkhawa, fighting a battle between life and death.

The assailants, flaunting their Hindu extremist ideology, have been boasting about their heinous acts on social media, even suggesting that they plan to repeat such atrocities in two months. Nadim, a father of two young children, hails from a financially struggling family.

The police have registered a case against the criminals, treating them as minors. However, instead of swift action, the authorities have issued a warning to Nadim’s family, urging them not to share the incident on social media.
