Islamabad: As the famous Spanish proverb goes, the pot is calling the kettle black, the present-day Hindutva government, notorious for its policies against minorities, especially Muslims, Sikhs, Christians and Dalits, spares no opportunity to go without waging propaganda against Pakistan at any platform in or outside India.

In one such event at World Hindu Congress recently held in Bangkok, Hindutva leaders including RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat made baseless allegations of minorities’ persecution in Pakistan.

The Hindu delegates were sponsored by Modi regime. However, the malicious propaganda was met with a true patriotic response by a Pakistani Hindu Faqir Shiva.

“Hindus in Pakistan are living peacefully and enjoy legal protection of their rights,” said Pakistani Hindu Faqir Shiva at World Hindu Congress in Bangkok.

Generally, followers of all faiths including Muslims, Christians, Hindus, Sikhs live peacefully together in Pakistan, he said and added that Pakistan was considered safe for minorities who can practice their religious values at will.

Constitution of Pakistan fully protects the basic rights of every individual without discrimination of any religion. The opening of Kartarpur Corridor for Sikhs is a good example that Pakistan as a state gives priority to religious freedom. Recently, a visit by hundreds of Indian pilgrims to their sites in Pakistan is also a proof how much Pakistan attaches importance to the religious sentiments of non-Muslims.

On the other hand, India under Narendra Modi is suffering from Hindutva hate incitement against all minorities including Muslims. Ever since Modi became prime minister, crimes against religious minorities have seen an upward trend in India where attacks by Hindu mobs against Muslims, Christians and followers of other faiths have become a routine affair. This wave has led to political, economic and social victimization of Muslims and other religious minorities, which is reflected in reports issued by global rights’ watchdogs like HRW & Amnesty International.
