Anti-Muslim violence is on a rise in India; there isn’t a day that goes by when one does not occur somewhere in the nation.

Even Ram Navami, which is supposed to be a celebration of peace and love, is now known for anti-Muslim violence due to the actions of some individuals.

On the day of Ram Navami, which is observed to celebrate the birthday of Lord Ram, about 20 anti-Muslim violent incidents have come to the fore in India.

In the guise of the Ram Navami processions, mischievous elements hurled stones at mosques and, in some cases, forcefully entered dargahs and raised the saffron flag.

The Muslim community has suffered greatly as a result of these events in Bengal and Gujarat, with numerous videos showing harm to Muslim cars and homes.

During the Shobha Yatra in Lakhisarai, Bihar, members of the Bajrang Dal brazenly brandished swords and sang provocative songs. During the bike demonstration in Kishanganj, Muslims were abused.

During a Shobha Yatra in Vadodara, Gujarat, a Hindutva crowd yelled anti-Muslim slogans and threw stones at a mosque.

In Maharashtra, Hindutva activists forcibly entered the Dargah of Haji Abdulrehaman Malang Shah in the presence of police, hoisted the saffron flag, and chanted Jai Shri Ram slogans.

During a Ram Navami parade in Mathura, some teenagers raised saffron flags by scaling the wall of Jama Masjid.

The residents of Gujarat’s Vadodara accused the police of acting arbitrarily when many Muslims were detained and severely assaulted after Iftar. There are currently about 12 patients in the infirmary. The arrests were made following a dispute between the two communities.

During the Shobha Yatra, Vadodara itself experienced instances of stone-pelting at the mosque, cars, and stores.

In Jammu, Bajrang Dal supporters shout “We will make India a Hindu nation” during a Ram Navami rally.

During a Ram Navami gathering in Howrah, West Bengal, a Hindu crowd set Muslim stores and vehicles on fire while yelling “Jai Shri Ram.”

At the Ram Navami Shobha Yatra in Hyderabad, suspended BJP MLA T Raja Singh and his followers swear allegiance to the Hindu religion.

At a Ram Navami demonstration in Mumbai’s Malad, a group of Hindutva activists stopped outside a mosque and shouted insulting slogans and abuses, inciting unrest in the neighbourhood. In order to contain the situation, the cops used lathi-charge.

During a Ram Navami procession at GT Road Shibpur near Fazeer Bazar in Howrah, West Bengal, a mob of Hindutva supporters vandalised businesses owned by Muslims and set them on fire.

During a Ram Navami procession in Binjhabayala, Rajasthan, a saffron banner is raised atop a mosque.

During the Ram Navami procession at Hazrat Kale Khan’s dargah in Khargone, Madhya Pradesh, Hindutva activists swapped out the green flag for a saffron one.
