In an extremely provocative and genocidal statement, senior BJP leader and Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) in Karnataka, Basanagouda Patil Yatnal, has said that those speaking against India and Hindus will be shot.
The BJP leader was seen on a video calling for the shooting of those who speak against India and the Hindus during a public rally in poll-bounded Karnataka.
“If you speak about our faith or about India or about Hindus, then you will be shot [making hand gesture],” said Yatnal during a public rally in Vijayapura city.
In the same rally, the Hindutva politician also claimed that the BJP, if voted to power in Karnataka, would implement the Yogi Adityanath-style of governance.
“Anyone who speaks against India will be encountered. We will stop sending them to jail. Decision will be taken on the road itself,” the BJP leader said.
The genocidal statements by Hindutva politicians have featured prominently in the run-up to the Karnataka polls.
Polling will be held in Karnataka on May 10 while counting will be done on May 13
