Modi’s Hindutva driven policies threat to peace, stability: Masarrat

The All Parties Hurriyat Conference Chairman, Masarrat Aalam Butt, has said that the fascist Indian government is using all brutal measures to crush the ongoing freedom struggle in Indian illegally Jammu and Kashmir, adding New Delhi’s hegemonic designs and its belligerent policies driven by Hindutva ideology pose a serious threat to regional and international peace and security.

Masarrat Aalam Butt in a message from New Delhi’s Tihar Jail said, out of frustration, the Modi regime implicated APHC leadership in fake cases and lodged thousands of leaders and activists in jails, hundreds of miles away from their homes. He said, the BJP government is sealing the Hurriyat offices, attaching lands and properties of its leaders and activists to bring the people of occupied territory into submission. However, the incarcerated APHC chairman, maintained that Modi and its Hindutva leaders must remember that whatever the circumstances be, the Kashmiris are determined to carry on their just struggle till freedom from Indian slavery.

Masarrat Aalam Butt urged the international community to stop India from treading the path of Nazi Germany under Adolf Hitler, and instead pave the way for settlement of the Kashmir dispute as per UN resolutions so that long-term peace and stability can be establishing in the region.

Meanwhile, former Convener of APHC-AJK Muhammad Farooq Rehmani in a statement in Islamabad castigated India for trampling all the principles of humanity in occupied Jammu and Kashmir. He said, influenced by Hindutva ideology, present day India in brazen violation of international laws and UN resolutions is taking fascist measures including killing and confiscation of properties coupled with eviction and demolition drive to change the Kashmir’s history, demography, culture and religion.
