The Narendra Modi-led Indian government’s new Education Policy 2020 is a reflection of the Hindutva ideology of ruling BJP’s ideological mentor Rashtriya Syawamsevak Sangh (RSS).

An analytical report released by Kashmir Media Service said that the RSS is boasting the new education policy passed by the Indian cabinet as its big victory as it believes that now students will be taught Hindutva ideology for which the RSS has struggled for 60 long years.

The RSS cadres are jubilant that their voice played a significant role at the policy drafting table, the report said and added that the seventh year of the Modi government rule has helped the RSS outfit turn the emphasis of India’s education policy from the Congress-era Human Resource Development to the Sangh Parivar’s pet template of ‘education as means of propagating Hindutva ideology.

The BJP’s siblings have welcomed the policy as they feel they had a major say in the final policy with most of their suggestions incorporated in the final version. The new education policy is influenced by Hindutva ideology as RSS has been plotting Hinduization of Indian education system for long, the report said.

While commenting on the policy, RSS affiliated Bharatiya Shikshan Mandal confirmed that around 60-70% of their demands have been met either directly or indirectly in the New Education Policy.

The report pointed out that Modi is shaping India according to RSS dictates.
