The All Parties Hurriyat Conference has welcomed the statement of Pakistan Army Chief General Asim Munir on Kashmir and termed it a new ray of hope for the oppressed Kashmiris.
The APHC spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said that General Asim Munir’s strong and clear message to India has boosted the morale of the Kashmiri people.
“Jammu and Kashmir is a disputed territory and India is occupying it by the dint of military might”, he said and added that the Kashmiri people will continue their struggle for the right of self-determination, against all odds.
Meanwhile, APHC-AJK convener Mehmood Ahmed Saghar and other leaders including Ejaz Rahmani, Zahid Ashraf, Sheikh Yaqoob, Imtiaz Wani and Manzoor Ahmad Shah also lauded the General Asim Munir’s statement. They said that the Indian atrocities in occupied Jammu and Kashmir cannot stop the ongoing struggle for freedom in IIOJK. He said the Modi government has put Kashmiris in a hell by blocking them from all sides. Homes of Hurriyat leaders and workers are raided, Kashmiri leadership is arrested in false cases, they added.
The leaders said that the international community remains a silent spectator in its own interests.
