Srinagar: National Conference Vice President Omar Abdullah has said that the development slogan of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Kashmir is a bundle of lies and it cheats people in the name of providing employment and holding assembly elections.
Omar Abdullah speaking to reporters in Kulgam said BJP has only been betraying people in the name of elections, employment and development.
“Except lies, they have not given anything to the people. The condition of electricity is not this worse as it is today even when they claim crores of funds are being spent. Why don’t they arrange more funds to provide electricity to the people of Kashmir.” Omar Abdullah said.
Replying to the Shopian fake encounter, in which an Army tribunal suspended punishment to an involved Army officer, he urged the Indian government to refrain from exploiting people of Kashmir.
“With this verdict the government gave a feeler to people of J&K that their blood is cheap,” he said.
