New Delhi: The opposition party in India Congress has severely criticized Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said that Modi has time to watch the final match of the Cricket World Cup in Ahmedabad, but has no time to visit the troubled Indian state of Manipur.
Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh in a post on social media platform X said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s priorities are clear.
He has not yet gone to Manipur, where more than 200 people have been killed and thousands displaced in the violence that started on May 3, he said, adding the situation in Manipur is still tense and violent incidents continue.
