Srinagar: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has decried the Indian Supreme Court’s latest diktat validating the Narendra Modi-led government’s action of repealing the Article 370 as Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir is not internal matter of India but an international dispute on the UNSC agenda.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the APHC spokesman in a statement in Srinagar said India is completely disregarding the Kashmiris’ right to decide their future as per the UN resolutions and is relying on outright lies to divert attention from the human rights violations by its troops in occupied Kashmir.

The statement said Kashmiri people are grieving over the recent verdict of India’s saffronized Supreme Court on Article 370 which further exposed India’s disregard for legal and democratic norms as the ruling was against the interests of people of Jammu and Kashmir. The statement said India’s denial of right to self-determination to Kashmiris is the main cause of the Kashmir dispute while its final settlement lies in the UN resolutions.

The spokesman termed the order as another assault on the rights of the Kashmiris. He said India through such diktats is aggressively pushing to snatch everything from the Kashmiri people including their land, resources and identity and turn them into a minority in their own land. However, he made it clear that the people of the occupied territory would never accept such illegal and anti-Kashmir decisions.

The saffronized Indian SC’s biased, one-sided verdict cannot change the fact that New Delhi remains an occupier of an internationally recognized disputed territory of Jammu Kashmir, he said.

The statement urged the international community to pressurize India to stop its state terrorism in the occupied territory and resolved the Kashmir dispute as per the relevant UN resolutions and Kashmiris’ aspirations.

Meanwhile, posters have been put up in various areas of occupied Jammu and Kashmir, including Watergam, Rafiabad and other parts of the territory, urging the people to unite and raise their voice against Indian occupation and anti- Kashmir laws.

The posters read: “We have to unite and raise our voice for Kashmir cause and right to self-determination and make it clear to India that the Kashmiri people will continue their struggle till complete success.”

The posters were also shared on social media platforms, including Facebook and X.
