Srinagar: In a sheer act of vengeance, the Narendra Modi government installed puppet administration in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir has suspended a lecturer who had appeared before the Indian Supreme Court and argued against abrogation of Article 370.
The School Education Department placed Zahoor Ahmad Butt, senior lecturer of political science at Government Higher Secondary School Jawahar Nagar Srinagar, under suspension on the charges of violation of rules.
An order issued by the department reads that during the period of suspension, the lecturer shall remain attached in the office of Director School Education, Jammu.
The administration has also ordered that Subah Mehta, joint director of School Education, Jammu, shall conduct an in-depth inquiry in the conduct of the Zahoor Butt.
Zahoor, who also holds a degree in law, appeared for himself before the Indian apex court on Wednesday and argued against August 5, 2019 decisions of the Modi regime.
